    EARN YOUR CERTIFICATE

To earn your certificate, you will need to take and pass our exam. This will be a multiple choice exam. Earning your certificate in this way is important to demonstrate to yourself and others (e.g. employers) that you have attained a high standard in this key skill set.

However, the exam is nothing to worry about. If you need more time or any kind of additional support for the exam then the instructor is there to help. Most people pass first time and there is a free retake for anyone that doesn't.

Once you earn your certificate you will be added to our WildTeam global skills directory.

WHY ARE PROJECT PLANNING SKILLS IMPORTANT?

If a conservation project does not have a strong conservation strategy it can waste years of effort and thousands of pounds of precious conservation funds. Conversely, having a strong conservation strategy will ensure that there are clear, justified links between the conservation activities and the impact the project aims to achieve. A strong conservation strategy will also provide the basis for developing compelling grant applications and pitches to private donors.
In summary, project planning is probably the most important conservation skill there is to achieving conservation impact and sustaining conservation teams financially. That is why project planning is such a crucial skill for anyone that wants to be assigned more responsibility at work, get a promotion, and make a big difference for the wildlife and wild places they care about. When you are certified in Project Planning for Wildlife Conservation you will fell confident in, and be able to demonstrate your ability to create strong conservation strategies for any situation you work on.
